Ingredients for Rajasthani Moong Dal Paratha.

1 cup flour

1/2 cup washed moong dal

1 green chilli, chopped

1/2 tsp cumin

A pinch of asafoetida

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/4 tsp fennel seeds

1/4 tsp Nigella seeds

1/2 tsp garam masala

1 tsp red chilli powder

Green coriander as required

Oil/ghee, As required

Salt as per taste

How to make Rajasthani Moong Dal Paratha?

1. To make Rajasthani Moong Dal Parantha, first wash the moong dal thoroughly and then soak it in water for a few hours.

2. Once done, drain the excess water from it and take it out in a bowl along with flour, red chilli powder, fennel, nigella seeds, turmeric, asafoetida and coriander leaves.

3. Now slowly add water, mix everything together and knead a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.

4. Apply some ghee on it and knead it again. Divide the dough into equal sized portions and flatten them with the help of a rolling pin.

5. Heat the pan on low-medium flame and place the paratha on it. Let it cook on one side and then turn it and cook it on the other side and apply ghee and serve hot.
